1. Select the location of Avast program files and the product edition to uninstall, and then select Uninstall.

1. Once the removal process ends, select Restart Computer to complete the uninstallation.

1. Now, reinstall Avast and try opening the program on your PC again.

You can also uninstall Avast from your PC via the Windows Start menu.

1. Right-click Start >Apps & Features >Avast Antivirus >Uninstall >Uninstall when the Avast Antivirus setup appears.

1. Select Yes to confirm your action.

1. Once uninstalled, select Restart computer and reinstall Avast.
